Can We Write Perfectly Writed

In writing, of course, we are often faced with technical problems regarding our own writing. Even more extreme, a writer can be a harsh critic of his own writing.

As a writer, of course, we are often reminded that in writing, several stages of the writing process are required before the writing can be said to be a work of art.

If in the writing process there is a stage of writing a first draft, then entering the editing stage, this explains to us how small the gap is for a writer to write perfect writing.

If there are lazy writers, like me, who usually write without doing thorough proofreading and editing, then it is not surprising that my writing will never be perfect.

However, is it true that we can write such perfect writing?

Perfect Sentence

In Indonesian gramatical, it is explained that if a writer wants to produce perfect writing, of course he must follow a sentence pattern that includes subject, predicate, and object.

The definition of perfect writing is writing that has a coherent language structure.

A perfect sentence is a composition of language patterns consisting of subject, predicate, object, and information. The completeness or perfection of a piece of writing requires the presence of four elements in this category, only then can it be said to be perfect writing.

But, does it really only cover the following four elements of the category? Wait a minute.

Perfect Paragraph

When I was still studying, my lecturer advised us (students) to write one paragraph, one main topic.

The aim is none other than so that we (students) can write an argument neatly, orderly and perfectly. Plus, written results can be easily analyzed and assessed.

In this perfect paragraph, there are usually key sentences or main topics, supporting sentences, and closing sentences or transitions that are related to each paragraph.

Determining one core problem for each paragraph finally opened our (students) eyes. That writing certainly has its own systematics which we should not take lightly.

Once we are literate in this topic, have we succeeded in writing perfect writing? Not necessarily.

Perfect Discourse

In conveying perfect language, of course it cannot be separated from perfect discourse.

Discourse is related to how closely related and intact a sentence is to other sentences in each paragraph and to other paragraphs.

However, is it true that all of this closes down the possibility of perfect writing?

The final word

As explained above, to be a perfect sentence, special rules are needed that make the sentence perfect. Also, the arrangement of propositions must be related to each other, then perfect writing can be produced.

However, the explanation of the word ‘perfect’ here is meant only for the perfection of standard writing rules, not the word ‘perfect’ to make a piece of writing perfect (as a whole).

Back to the question at the beginning, is it true that we can write perfect writing?

The answer is still a question mark. (is it really possible?”)

But what is clear is that there are several things that appear to make writing imperfect.

For example, the writer’s imperfect ability to carry out a reading rhythm (a factor that makes the reader get into the writing and forget the surroundings) sometimes makes the reader lose focus more often. We actually read more often while trying to reconnect the sound of sentences in our heads over and over again, right?

Mistakes in the use of punctuation which are always missed are a factor in why writing can be called imperfect writing. Not to mention the choice of vocabulary which is infinite and never completely correct.

Some of the writing problems above are not only caused by novice writers, they even happen to writers who have been around for a long time.

Finally, until now, perfect writing is still just a delicious spice that is often shared with writers to motivate them to keep writing.

Because in reality, no matter how hard the writer edits, rewrites, adds, how smart and clever, or whatever, perfect writing never exists in this world.[*]
